HITRUST Presentation to Florida Healthcare Corporate Compliance Association (FHCCA)

Johan Lidros will be giving a presentation to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Association on August 7th.  The title of the presentation "HITRUST - A beneficial tool for your information security risk management plans and other available tools for addressing the HITECH requirements" will focus on the HITRUST framework and specifically how it addresses the new HITECH requirements. The presentation will provide an overview of the HITRUST security framework as well as other suggested tools for addressing the HITECH and FTC red flag rules for security incident management. HITRUST is a healthcare specific security framework that integrates regulatory requirements and common standards such as:

• HIPAA
• CMS requirements
• ISO 27799
• ISO27000 serie
• COBIT
• NIST series
• Specific federal guidelines for medical devices
• FTC.
